The British Association for Vedic Astrology (BAVA) is a non-profit making organisation which aims to promote knowledge of Vedic Astrology in Britain.

BAVA's aims are to advocate the deeper spiritual aspects which Vedic Astrology can offer, and to increase awareness of this ancient science through regular lectures, courses, workshops and conferences.

Karyn resides in Newport County and is the founder of Sacred Stone Healing Spa and School. Her teachings are recognized and approved of by the National Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork under category A.

During her seventeen years of experience in the health industry, Karyn became a professional choreographer and dancer, a macrobiotic chef, a licensed and nationally certified massage therapist, a diplomat of Ayurvedic medicine, a certified Ayur*yoga therapist, a second-degree Reiki therapist, a certified fitness counselor, a certified nutritionist, and a certified medical Thai therapist.

She also holds a bachelor's degree in alternative health and fitness. Karyn is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and The National Ayurvedic Medical Association

ACVA is the largest Vedic astrology organization in the West, it is affiliated with the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (ICAS), founded by the late Dr. B.V. Raman, and works with Vedic Astrologers throughout the world.

The council is governed by a Steering Committee whose members include: Dr. David Frawley, President, Dennis M. Harness Ph.D., Executive Vice-President, Dennis Flaherty, Andrew Foss, David Goldstein, Ph.D, Edith Hathaway, Christina Collins Hill, Gary Gomes, James Kelleher, Sat Siri Khalsa, William R. Levacy, Joni Patry, Geoffrey Pearce, Patricia Sanders, M.Ed., and Komilla Sutton.
